My Story:

The Adidas Teamgeist 2 Magnus Moenia 2008 Beijing Olympics match ball that is not sold in general retail and possibly used from the quarter-finals onwards.  Instead of the usual two sets of ‘China’ (‘中国’) wordings (one big and one small), this ball carries only one set of ‘Beijing 2008′ wordings.  Having the colours of red base in the panels married with the silver and gold blend aptly allow this ball to represent the host country China with its capital of Beijing.  Look even closely and you can see designs of the Great Wall of China outlining some panels.  ‘Magnus Moenia’ literally means ‘Walls of the Great’ in Latin.

The Official Story:

Scientifically Engineered Micro-Texture Provides:

- More Power through greater friction between ball and boot.

- More Swerve due to increased spin rates.

- More Control thanks to greater contact between boot, glove and ball.

Just wondering, if it wasn’t sold how did you get its retail box? Also, is it the same ART no. and sku/barcode no. number as the one written in Chinese?

I bought mine from China, from a person who has contacts with the local football association.
