There is no doubt that the English Premier League is one of the greatest football show on the planet. The top-tier football competion in England, the Premier League boasts such great rivalry that stretches from south to north, east to west. Football is a religion in these parts of the world and rightly so where you can treat yourself each weekend to games played by such big popular clubs like Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United, Manchester City, Sunderland and Tottenham (pardon me for missing other big popular clubs because this is Feb 2012 at time of writing). Other clubs that have fallen of this ladder are such ilumniaries such as Birmingham, Leeds, Middlesborough, Nottingham Forest, Sheffied United and Sheffield Wednesday to name a few.
Turning back to my rather mundane story about footballs, it is a case of Mitre versus Nike with the latter maintaining a stranglehold on the top-tier English game for seasons to come. Nike usurped Mitre, to put it bluntly and placed itself on the world map of football with one fell swoop and will not be relinquishing it too lightly or too soon. Nike should be here to stay and rightly so with its big pockets to kill off the competition.
